A little info about me

My name is Mark, I live in Hertfordshire, married with two great daughters one lives in Liverpool the other lives in Brighton, I would say lots of travelling but I am really bad at visiting and I am sure my daughters think their dad hates visiting them, its not true I am just set in my old ways, I am sure there are many dads out there that are the same as me, I can not be the only one who does not like travelling.
I am married to the fantastic Rosemary, as the saying goes "my rock" she is the one who keeps me on an even keel, when i am down ( quite often ) she picks me up, she has also become a good photographer and assists me at weddings and photoshoots.
Photography and two wheels, cameras started with a Pentax K1000 I bet there are not many people who remember that camera,  i found the early film cameras quite hard to use and did not enjoy the experience, I could never imagine photographing a wedding using a film camera, I take my hat off to these people. Today I use all digital cameras, these cameras are such high tech that i can take a photo inside a room with almost no light, thank goodness for millions of pixels. I use a selection of lenses some long for circuit racing and some ( my favourites ) are short telephoto lenses, I like to get up close when possible.
The most exciting thing about todays photography is the processing, no more darkrooms or black sheets, now its all computers and clever software, its very exciting how technology is changing.
My love of motorbikes started very young, I think I inherited this from my dad, he used to have vellocettes and vincent black shadows, i have photos of him and my mum sitting on this huge motorbike, the funny thing is no safety gear is worn at all, how times change, I started on  the usuall mopeds not just twist and go, but pedal like mad as well, still it was exciting when your young, and you looked cool turning up for school on a moped. Due to not being able to pass a car test i took my motorbike test, this was easy, examiner waited on the corner told me to drive around block and be prepared for an emergency stop, I passed, yipee. My final bike was a suzuki GT750, you know the one, 3 cylinders into 4 pipes, brilliant blue, my prize possesion.
Today i do not ride a bike, I do not know why, my heart would buy one tomorrow, i once saw a sign on the back of a kawasaki ninja it read 2.5 seconds to casualty, today my head says getting to old.
I still have my passion for motorbikes but today i photograph them, i get the best of both worlds, bikes and photography.

A few more bike photos, circuit racers and motocross two wheelers

I have been taking photos of quad bikes for a couple of years, these are a few of my favourits.
